A couple days ago, another foreigner (a white guy) came into the restaurant where the teachers and I usually eat. Sometimes tourists come with a group to see the long neck village nearby, but otherwise there aren't many foreigners wandering around by themselves here unless they work for an NGO or something like that. I'd never seen him before so I thought I'd strike up a conversation. This is how it went:
Me: "Hi, are you working in this community?"
WG [with blank look of incomprehension]: "Sweden."
Me: "Oh ok. So, do you work here?"
WG: "I don't know."
My English has gotten so bad even other foreigners can't understand me!

hey, Debi-chan. It's me, Taka. I am acutually not sure if yours was the problem or it's just that the Swedish guy was poor at English enough to miss your words.
